Terms of Use
Last updated August 16, 2026
These terms cover the website, downloadable archives, and related tools.
Using Afterlife
Use Afterlife for characters, webhook proxying, RP sessions, public data, archives, media, reports, and ops tools.
You are responsible for your account, uploads, published content, and Discord bot actions.
Accounts and Discord
- You must use a Discord account you are allowed to use.
- You must follow Discord's terms, community rules, and each installed server's rules.
- You must meet Discord's account, verification, and age requirements.
- Keep your account secure. Actions taken from your account while signed in may be treated as your actions.
- Server owners and admins are responsible for bot permissions, channel access, moderation, and setup.
Content you add
You are responsible for character data, text, images, files, lore, reports, and RP content you add.
By adding content, you allow Afterlife to store, display, proxy, archive, back up, and log it.
Public content may be published where the app says it is public.
Content rules
- Do not upload or share illegal content.
- Do not upload content that exploits, sexualizes, or endangers minors.
- Do not upload intimate content shared without consent, private info, malware, stolen credentials, or harmful content.
- Do not use Afterlife to harass, impersonate, threaten, spam, or bypass moderation.
- Do not use webhook proxying to mislead people when that violates server rules.
- Do not publish private RP logs, character info, or media without permission from the people involved.
Public pages and exports
Afterlife can create public character pages, avatar routes, roster routes, and HTML exports.
Public content can be viewed, saved, linked, indexed, or reused.
Admin and moderation actions
Admins may restrict access, remove content, archive reports, change roles, or update settings.
They may also restart services, disconnect bots, or remove accounts when needed.
Operational and admin actions may be logged for safety, troubleshooting, and accountability.
Service availability
Afterlife depends on hosting, database, storage, email, Discord, and server tools.
Features may be unavailable, delayed, interrupted, or changed by those systems.
Downloads, exports, links, bot commands, and webhooks can fail from outages, rate limits, or missing permissions.
No guarantee of data recovery
Afterlife keeps useful records, but it is not a backup service. Keep your own backups for important data and files.
Ending access
You can stop using Afterlife at any time. Admins may suspend or remove access when rules are broken or risk needs removal.
