Our Policies

Core rules

• Use Afterlife for roleplay content that your community allows.
• Do not upload illegal content, stolen files, private info, malware, trackers, hidden executables, or harmful files.
• Only upload accepted file types in the correct place.
• Admins may remove content, restrict access, disable links, delete files, or close reports when rules are broken.

Image uploads

• No images of real people.
• No real-person lookalikes, including celebrities, private people, screenshots, edited photos, deepfakes, or AI lookalikes.
• No images of human minors in unclothed, sexual, erotic, or exploitative situations.
• Fictional non-human characters may have younger lore ages only when the image is clearly SFW.
• No real-world weapon photos, drug imagery, pornography, real nudity, or sexual real-world imagery.
• Do not upload images hiding code, tracking, executables, or unsafe attachments.

NSFW, gore, and violence

Blood, gore, injury, horror, and violent themes are allowed but treated as NSFW.

NSFW content must be fictional, roleplay-related, and restrained.

No explicit porn, shock content, sexualized minors, coercive sexual content, real nudity, or bait content.

• Mark NSFW content as NSFW when the app gives you that option.
• Do not publish NSFW through public pages, API data, or exports unless your community allows it and everyone agrees.
• Use content warnings for heavy violence, abuse, self-harm, sexual themes, or similar material.

Character names, bios, and lore

• Do not use hateful names, bios, jokes, symbols, or caricatures.
• Bigotry may appear as story conflict only when clearly fictional and not aimed at real groups or users.
• Do not build characters around stereotypes, racial jokes, hate propaganda, or real-world extremist material.
• Do not impersonate real people, other users, server staff, or public figures.
• Do not write lore or profiles that target, threaten, doxx, or harass another person.

Public pages, exports, and API data

• Public pages, ACI, avatars, and HTML exports can be viewed, saved, linked, indexed, or reused.
• Do not publish private RP logs, character details, media, or another user's content without permission.
• Before publishing or exporting, check names, avatars, bios, references, and post history.
• Do not use public Afterlife data to harass, shame, profile, or target users.

Discord and server rules

Afterlife uses Discord login and bot features. Follow Discord's rules and each installed server's rules.

Reports and enforcement

• Report policy-breaking content or behavior through the app.
• False reports, revenge reports, spam, or misleading evidence can lead to restrictions.
• Serious safety issues may go to site owners, server staff, providers, Discord, or law enforcement when required.
