Biography
Zuma calls herself Cinnabun, it is her fairy name, all soul fairies are asked to come up with an alter ego because their souls are not allowed to know their true identity. Zuma is very steadfast, kind and loving. Her friends can’t let her be, She likes tropical fruits and some days it is all that she eats, other fairies seem almost mundane in comparison to her. She has no one talks in the hallways of Faymore when she goes there, actually quite shy despite her outgoing personality traits, but as soon as she spots someone in tears, or someone angry and arguing with another person, caring, outgoing, loving Zuma springs into action, to show her care for everyone involved. No matter what she is currently doing. This is highly unusual, other fairies tend to keep for themselves as much as possible. At her farm she always works alone, she has no pets, no husbandry, no boyfriends or the like, she works alone in the plantations. She is actually quite confused about her own sexual nature, she refuses the subject but can open up if someone does so themselves. Here you will quickly learn that she does like other people in that way, she is mostly just scared to approach the subject with others, fairies are also a people of culture, she takes her traditions really seriously, and often returns to see her old colony, they pester her to join back, but she can’t leave her farm. Zuma never tires to find new fun things to do with her friends, this is very much who she is. and everyone around her just seems to… adore her for it. Zuma was born into a traditional Fenjan family of 2, her mother and her father. Fairies don’t really have a habit of nurturing their young much by themselves, you know the saying it takes a village to raise a child, that is very literal when it comes to the Fenjan people. Fenjans live in huge communes, they have a tribe-like feel, where they are led by a chief and all matters answer to him, almost always a male.Zuma’s tribe where a large forest fairy colony of about 400 fairies, Zuma was raised alongside the other kids by all of the adult fairies of the colony. The kids would run, fly and play in the vast colony space, fly above the trees, eat together and sleep in the children's palm, a huge open air wooden building built atop a tree, like the rest of the traditional Fenjan tree houses like it, who occupy colony space. The palm house is the largest of any colony and here the children live with the 5 or 9 designated caretakers. Every night they would meet here in the palm house for stories, traditional Fenjan food, meet with their parents and socialize before bed. All of the kids would also sleep up here on small pillows built by the adults of the colony. Each child’s own parents would weave a pillow when their young are born, that is their tradition, so each pillow fits and looks like its owner’s family ofcause. Zuma was just one of many fairies here, she had friends, family and love from her entire clan as she was raised alongside her peers. She had a loving upbringing where she got to play with her friends in the vast colony she was born in. Though all fairies grow up with one ambition in their mind before all else, no matter gender or fairy species all fairies want to work for the AVA, the largest company in this part of the galaxy. The AVA, or known in daily speech as The Afterlife Corporation, is a massive company run out of the Twilight where the fairies live, its run by the head master or arch fairy, and goddess of love Twinky the Merciful, and her angel boss, chairwoman of the AVA and goddess of life, Emily Spearbreaker. The AVA oversees the afterlife, if you die on earth the AVA will take care of your soul, they have a system they call the Arcadia Project, here your life is tallied up in points based on how your actions in life affected someone else negatively or positively, if someone was affected positively by one of your actions you will gain GLP as they call it, or if negatively affected then you will lose some, if you end your life in the negative you will go to hell, otherwise you will go to the Twilight, and meet the fairies, and the AVA. The company is a huge, massive conglomerate, its capital Arcadia, is unlike the fairy colonies a place of technology, skyscrapers, modern architecture and even borderline sci-fi aesthetics. The hardest job a fairy can get is the position of a soul fairy, these guys are the personal assistants of souls who dies and goes to the Twilight, once you are granted access to the Twilight you get to meet your very own soul fairy, these keep you company and friendship for the rest of your time here, which can be forever. Your soul fairy are assigned to you at birth, when you are born on earth a soul fairy are assigned, and they keep you company through your entire life, they are able to see what you see, affect your thoughts, weave dreams for you and even visit you in them in the form of anything you can imagine as you sleep. They try and nudge you to do good in life, their job is to keep you on the good path so you will one day meet them in the Twilight, your… stomach feeling or inner eye as some people sometimes call it, that is your fairy affecting how you feel to try and nudge you to do better, the right thing. Becoming a soul fairy is absolutely not something anyone can, the process is hard, and it requires sacrifices from a very early age, Zuma knew this. She had a happy childhood, and she knew the world could not prepare her for the task of besting the other kids in the colony to take the post as a soul fairy. The first step after your clan education is to enroll into Faymore, the fairy school for magic and culture. Anyone can enroll that is not hard, but staying is absolutely not easy, you will be here for 50 earth years. Fairies age much slower than we do, 10 years per semester, 5 semesters. If you fail your tests after each semester you’re done, and the school will throw you out. Each semester is harder than the last. After all of this there are the fairy tests, the faymore students all have to complete their final exams together, this is known as the fairy tests. Here 100 fairies at a time sit in the round stage aula of Faymore, each with a test, 100 questions. hard questions, one wrong answer and you fail, 100% to pass. Very few fairies can do this, very few, some years yield no new applicants. But if you pass, the AVA will hire you as a soul fairy. Zuma went through her 50 years, passed the exams and tests, and even her final exams with flying colors, she is a bright kid, and a smart little fairy. Through her time at Faymore she was known as the cool kid, the girl to ask if you had trouble at a test or an exam. She excelled in enchantment class, and even more so in earth culture, a top grade student, destined to pass even from the beginning, fairy culture is interesting, bullying is not really a thing here. But some of the school’s less fairy happy customers think differently, the school also takes on demons and pixies from hell in separate programs, and they bully fairies relentlessly. Despite this Zuma made good friends with some of them, even a young demon in her year group, his name is Tzio Godasson. Rumours had it he has been born a god, the son of a goddess, and later it would reveal he has, the god of torture. Despite that he was a really nice guy, and Zuma enjoyed his friendship through to the last day. After her time at Faymore the AVA was quick to invite her in for a meeting, the AVA are particular with who they pass on as fairies for what souls, they don’t know what souls who are born on earth will become, that is the job of a soul fairy to influence and find out. Through all of this Zuma would travel from her farmstead in Sparks Ville to and from faymore every day through teleportation, sometimes she would fly just for the trip. After Zuma left her colony for Faymore she used her savings at the colony to fund the purchase of a run down farmstead outside of Sparks Ville. The farm had a huge swath of forests and plains, meadows and many many marshes. Always a beautiful land, she took on the job at the farm as an arborist, she would tend the forests, the marshes, plant fruit plantations on the lesser used land, and bake pies and make cider from her produce. All while tending Faymore, winning smiles all the way. One day at the farm, she got a red envelope, with the black AVA seal on it. On the front of it it would clearly state its classification, for Zuma’s eyes only, inside was a pearl colored cardboard paper with a golden rim, certification of employment as a soul fairy, and below it, the file of her new soul… From then on, her life changed forever.
